Client: Virginia Fire Chiefs Association (VFCA) in partnership with the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC)
Background: VFCA provides a comprehensive and integrated statewide public safety effort, thereby enhancing the quality of life for our customers by reducing the effects of fire, medical, and environmental emergencies.
Objective: Develop a recruitment campaign for 30 Departments all pointing to the EveryDay Hero site . Reduce recruitment and retention problems facing VFCA volunteer departments and assist the departments and elected officials with effectively planning for their future emergency response system needs.
Solution: Fifteen departments will use traditional methods to recruit and retain volunteers. The remaining fifteen departments will utilize demographic data to identify potential volunteers.
Select an advocate to be included in all materials (ads, brochure, signage, displays, web banners). An advocate creates an emotional connection with potential volunteers who identify and want to emulate their passion for serving the community and making a difference. Each advocate would provide a high quality photo and create a Facebook account.
